Position Purpose
As a Distribution Team Member, you will be responsible for all functions relating to the safe, environmentally sound loading, unloading, and shipping of rail cars / trucks which meets or exceeds Shell, industry and government standards. Also, you will be the field execution lead for all rail and loading activities on shift.

Position Purpose
As a Distribution Team Member, you will be responsible for all functions relating to the safe, environmentally sound loading, unloading, and shipping of rail cars / trucks which meets or exceeds Shell, industry and government standards. Also, you will be the field execution lead for all rail and loading activities on shift.
Accountabilities
- Responsible to deliver the Production Plan and identify constraints to meeting plan
- You will develop plans to remove constraints and escalate when help is required
- Execute loading/off-loading of rail cars site wide, refinery, chemicals, Sulphur and Truck loading, and rail yard car movements in a Safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Ensures all training requirements are up to date
- Adheres to compliance with license to Operate an Industrial Railway and compliance in the Distribution area
- Ensure IROR training is current and manage recertification’s
- You will be responsible for Environmental compliance and reporting and issuing of safe work permits
- Review executed procedures for units and have procedures updated as needed to keep evergreen
- Executes work priorities and plans assigned by the Distribution Area Team Lead to ensure loading/unloading and shipping schedules are maintained
- Coaching and mentoring of Distribution Contractors is an expected activity in order to develop the site Distribution skill pool
- Completes audits as Identified in JCP
- May be required to fill a reserve worker role
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- You must have a minimum 1-year operational experience in Manufacturing industry, Preferably in Loading Department
- Preferred Candidate would possess a fourth-class power engineering certificate, or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in rail car and truck loading/offloading is an asset
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of Shell HSSE regulations, policies and procedures, goal Zero mindset
- Knowledgeable of Emergency Response protocols would be advantageous
- Understanding of Production policies and procedures
- Good Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team environment
- Ability to define issues, collect data and draw valid conclusions
- Possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Ability to interact effectively within the organization
- Knowledge of Scotford Work Process
