The Opportunity

  • Teaches life skills to the parents and other family members who access services from the Family Empowerment program. These include; behavior modification methods, role modeling, open discussions, and role-playing
  • Provides information on parenting skills, including but not limited to:
  • Behavior management
  • How to set limits and boundaries
  • Effective ways of disciplining
  • Effective use of time outs

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Social Services Diploma/Certificate preferred; or
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years’ experience in a related area of practice
  • Two years’ experience in a related area of practice

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $24.92 to $32.28. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
