Status: Permanent, Full-time (Primarily remote)

Target Hiring Range: $84,000 - $98,000

As the Senior Specialist on our Proficiency team, you will provide expertise and drive the development and implementation of CIRO’s proficiency model. Reporting to the Director, Proficiency Standards and Assessments, you will collaborate with the team, vendor, and both internal and external stakeholder to design and maintain a robust proficiency regime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and lead the design and delivery of CIRO’s proficiency model and lead operational support to in the maintenance of the model
  • Actively participate in the syllabus and exam committees ensuring its effective operation including agenda creation, document control, scheduling, and SME recruitment and orientation
  • Effectively lead and advise on all facets related to exam delivery
  • Effectively report on data measuring the health of the proficiency model including data collection and analysis
  • Ensure the effective implementation of industry best practices related to training material and tools linked directly to the proficiency model
  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with key stakeholders and partners as it relates to the proficiency model


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 – 7 years’ experience supporting the design, development implementation, and maintenance of high-stakes exams and related education materials
  • Advanced education and training in test and measurement and instructional design is preferred
  • Direct experience working effectively with psychometricians
  • Experience with e-learning formats and development methods
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and report generation
  • Experience in financial services is an asset
