Pay, Hours & Perks:
- Rate of pay is $19.49 per hour plus vacation pay.
- EXCEL Group Leader positions are 5 days per week and require staff to be available 30 minutes prior to the end of the regular school day. While the start time of the Before/After school shift varies from site to site, most Before school shifts begin at 7:30am. Most After school shifts begin around 2pm.

- Children of EXCEL employees can attend the EXCEL program at no charge
- Various paid training opportunities available including High Five, First Aid/CPR, Fundamental Movement Skills, etc.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of one year's experience working with elementary age students
- Knowledge of recreational programming
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Have ability to work as part of a team
- High School Completion Certificate or equivalent
Asset:
- Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR Certification is considered an asset

Employment with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education is contingent upon providing a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and a completed Child Abuse Registry Search prior to starting employment.
