Tax Preparer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for assisting clients in preparing and filing their tax returns accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and complete accurate tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations

- Gather necessary financial documents and information from clients

- Review client records and financial statements to identify potential deductions or credits

- Calculate taxes owed or refunds due based on the information provided

- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations

- Communicate with clients to answer questions, provide guidance, and address any concerns

- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations

- Maintain confidentiality of client information

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)

- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role

- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations

- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:

- Analyzing financial data

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 50)

- Payroll processing knowledge
