We are looking for a Senior Accounts Receivable Administrator to help support our growing operation
Reporting to the Billing Manager, Shared Service, the Senior Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for some billing tasks as well as overseeing the day-to-day billing and cash posting process and acting as back up to the Manager.
As an employee of MHSNB, we are accountable to our patients and coworkers by participating in and supporting all safety related initiatives, as well as acting in a manner that fosters a culture that focuses on patient safety and a safe workplace.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- ensuring invoicing is completed daily by overseeing the primary billing process and processing all manual invoices.
- creating bad debt lists and preparing accounts for outside collections.
- responding to any enquiries coming in from collection agency
- issuing all returns related to; SD, NBPDP, etc.
- processing Veterans Affairs invoices for payment
- reviewing and posting billing and payment batches when needed
- taking escalated calls
- back up for Manager as required
- preparing reports and analyzing of monies received;
- answering calls from clients to receive payments or answer questions related to invoicing; and
- any other duties as assigned by the Billing Manager, Shared Services.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you:
- business degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution is preferred;
- possess a minimum of three years of experience with cash handling with a focus on individual accounts;
- have experience researching and resolving customer-billing issues;
- have excellent knowledge of cash management principles and procedures; communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written, especially dealing with issues of a sensitive or difficult nature;
- are comfortable working in a fast paced environment with demanding turn-around times.
- proven and effective customer service telephone skills with superior conflict resolution ability;
- are a self-motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills;
- possess accurate data entry skills to produce results for a fast-paced support department;
- demonstrate the ability to identify issues and implement resolutions;
- have experience in a computerized accounting environment and have spreadsheet knowledge;
- Bilingualism in French and English is required for this role
