Saturn has an opportunity for a 4 month Information Services Summer Student, starting in May 2025, based in the Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the Manager, Information Services, some specific duties, and responsibilities of the IS Summer Student include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide effective telephone and desk-side support, on-site at Head Office
  • Utilize computer hardware and network troubleshooting techniques
  • Use existing tools to investigate and record problems in the incident management system
  • Understand Saturn’s existing tools, processes and methodologies

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or another Information Technologies related program
  • Enthusiasm, a good work ethic and great customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Eager and willing to learn and grow in technical knowledge and responsibility
  • Preference will be given to candidates with 1-2 years’ experience in IT support and troubleshooting
  • Candidates with Desktop Hardware, Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 experience will be strongly considered
  • Able to perform physical work, such as lifting computers or equipment, and shifting them to other locations
