Support seamless operations of the Fairmont Banff Springs by managing all incoming goods. The Receiving Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations by managing the receipt and inspection of all incoming deliveries. This position is responsible for verifying shipment accuracy, documenting deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized loading dock.
Starting Rate: $20.57 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.28.
Job Duties Include:
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
- Inspect all deliveries for quantity and quality, and note any damage and deficiency on the applicable waybill; Check off arriving items according to the invoice or packing slip provided. Ensure all Food Product arrived at adequate temperature and track accordingly.
- Certify all incoming shipments have a Purchase Order.
- Ensure accurate Receiving of all Purchase Orders in the Birchstreet Procurement System
- Communicate with all Purchasing Managers regarding deliveries and ensure timely retrieval from the loading dock.
- Keep loading dock Clean and Orgnaized.
- Receive, document and deliver all Guest and Convention packages to the designated secure storage areas
- Assist Food Stores in the organization and distribution of food items that have arrived.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with internal purchasing managers, and outside vendors & truck drivers.
- Constantly look for areas where operations can be improved and streamlined
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Lifting up to 35 kg (77 lbs)
- Pushing and pulling a cart of 200 kg (450 lbs)
- Bending, standing, reaching, walking throughout the shift
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal English; great interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and email
- Previous experience operating a motorized pallet jack is an asset
