RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

This position reports directly to the National Executive Director and COO and the two National Directors of CANTRAIN.

Role

Under the supervision of the above team of the CANTRAIN

NPI and National Executive Director, the incumbent provides operational and administrative support to the management team.

  • Assist the person above in the execution of daily tasks,
  • Ensure the efficient functioning of the office.

General Duties

Support Management In

  • Calendar management for the the persons above,
  • Organization of travel for CANTRAIN staff and members of standing committees, task forces and work groups,
  • Organization of events: meetings and conferences,
  • Review of reports, presentations and other necessary documents,
  • Manage and address requests for data and/or information from external partners,
  • Draft external communication materials,
  • Manage incoming and outgoing emails,
  • Follow up on files: sorting, filing and archiving in the intranet,
  • Verify the modifications implemented on the website,
  • Manage the office organization: Booking desks for CANTRAIN employees etc,
  • Setting up meeting rooms,
  • Order office equipment,
  • Assist HR to onboard new staff.

Education / Experience

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)

Field of Study: Office Systems Technology or related field

Work Experience: 2 to 3 years

Professional Membership: ☐ Yes ☒ No

Other Requirements

Technical skills :

  • Excellent oral and written skills in French and English,
  • Experience with Office 365 suite,
  • Experience with Teams,
  • Experience with social media: Twitter, Threads, Instagram, LinkedIn.

Additional information

Status: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)

Pay Scale: $40,531.40 - $60,824.40, commensurate with education & work experience

Work Shift: 8:00am to 4:00pm (Flexible)

Work Site: 5252 de Maisonneuve

Hybrid: 3 days from home and Tuesday & Wednesday at the office
