The Administrative Support Assistant is a member of the Central Intake Team in our Winnipeg office and is responsible for the telephone reception and administrative duties for the Disability Management Services Office (DMSO).

We are looking for an Administrative Support Assistant - Disability Management Services Office in Winnipeg, MB.
The Administrative Support Assistant is a member of the Central Intake Team in our Winnipeg office and is responsible for the telephone reception and administrative duties for the Disability Management Services Office (DMSO).
What you will do
- Paying invoices and managing incoming phone call inquiries received on the department toll-free line.
- Open, sort and prepare incoming mails.
- Scan mail into the document imaging system and set tasks for team members to review and handle the mail.
- Create and mail correspondences to employees, clients, and service providers.
- Maintain employee and client information in the Canada Life systems, including entering or updating banking information, updating employee and client contact information, and entering invoice data for payment.
- Investigate mail that has been returned to sender and resend the mail as appropriate.
- Manage the distribution of files requested from the Records Centre.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Well-developed organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Strong keyboarding (50 wpm) and data entry skills required
- Completion of high school diploma or its equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website.
