Mechanical Planner

The individual will be responsible for

• Planning of work orders and creation of work order plans in SAP
• Attach relevant approved drawings, procedures, and forms to work orders
• Work with Maintenance, Operation's, and Reliability representatives to ensure proper troubleshooting of equipment issues
• Ownership of assigned work during execution stage
• Ensure outside contractor requirements are identified and contact contractors and manufacturers to arrange work when required. Inform Contractor Coordinator of schedule for contractor
• Ordering of materials, entry of requisition in SAP and assurance of parts availability
• 5+ years of Manufacturing Experience
• Holds relevant Alberta journeyman certification or technologist diploma.
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent verbal, listening and written skills, and basic computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Experience with Maintenance methods and practices
• Incorporates high level of safety in all work plans
• Turnaround Execution as related to multidiscipline work
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Ability to prioritize steps to complete complex work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Maintenance KPI's around safety, shutdown maintenance performance and regular maintenance performance
• Experience with SAP software as related to maintenance in a manufacturing facility
• Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Ability to motivate and drive engagement in others
• Effective conflict resolution skills
