Program Manager - Workforce Planning & Analytics

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the role of Program Manager, Workforce Planning & Analytics is pivotal in developing and advancing enterprise workforce planning processes and strategies that enable the realization of organizational short-term and long-term objectives.
Supporting the Senior Leadership team, they forecast, design and action strategies and solutions to address organizational structure and staffing needs and opportunities. They lead and enable the organization in the collection, analysis, and use of quality workforce data to inform organizational planning and decision making.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead enterprise level short-term and long-term workforce planning processes, including the assessment, analysis and forecasting of organizational talent and staffing needs and the development and actioning of corresponding plans and strategies to enable business strategy.
- Develop, implement, and sustain workforce data and analytics processes that ensure the availability, accuracy, and integrity of data, reporting and dashboards that effectively enable workforce planning and decision-making.
- Ensure strong relationships with business leaders, supporting areas and other stakeholders; to enable enterprise level collaboration to ensure awareness of current and future challenges and opportunities and the ongoing effectiveness of workforce data and planning activities and functions.
- Partner with Human Resources and business leaders to identify, coordinate and develop evidence-based plans and solutions to address current and future departmental structure, talent and skill gaps and opportunities, ensuring alignment with broader organizational interests and plans. This work will include but not be limited to the development of cross functional staffing planning, structural design, role design, succession planning, etc.
- Facilitate planning and design sessions with individual, small and large group stakeholder groups as applicable.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior leaders and other stakeholder groups to ensure awareness and to facilitate planning and decision-making.
- Conduct research and remain current on industry and market best practices, benchmarks, and trends to inform the further development of workforce planning and analytics tools, systems and strategies.
- Provide training, expertise, and support to internal stakeholders to further enable the effective collection and use of workforce data to support decision-making and planning.
- Collaborate with others to advance and leverage technology systems and tools to support workforce data, analytics, and planning capabilities.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of workforce planning initiatives and adjust processes and plans as necessary.
- Lead or participate in special projects related to workforce analytics and planning as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, organizational planning, or related field; supplemented by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise-level workforce planning, structure, and role design.
- Experience in human resource data reporting and analysis and the use of related tools and technologies is considered an asset.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge, skill, and competence, may be considered.
