As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the process management and quality assurance standards, frameworks, and best practices for Assessment & Tax (A&T). You will significantly contribute to the ongoing and proposed capital projects for A&T, in performing gathering detailed requirements, process documentation, internal and external partner management, as well as quality assurance functions. Primary duties include:
- Develop and implement process management framework, including best practices, tools and resources, and onboarding materials for future Business Analysts.
- Develop and implement business analysis and quality assurance frameworks, including best practices tools and resources, and onboarding materials for future Business Analysts.
- Consult with internal and external partners to determine customer expectations, business needs, and functional requirements.
- Coordinate with project teammates and management to ensure alignment of projects and timelines.
- Create technical documentation including user guides, process guides, operations manuals, business analysis work products, data dictionary, testing plans, training documentation.
- Actively support projects throughout all stages, including development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing and production implementation.
- Collaborate with Technical Support, Training team, and other departments on the rollout of product updates to clients.
- Work with leadership to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming features and releases.
- Lead Systems Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other testing phases as required.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Social Science, or related field plus at least 5 years of experience in business analysis and/or quality assurance.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Experience with project management, business analysis, quality assurance, and business process management.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, CBAP, Agile would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) or Unified Modeling Language (UML) will be a strong asset.
- Success in this role requires leadership and negotiation skills.
- Strong business analysis, facilitation, presentation, consensus building and excellent oral and written communication skills.
