The Opportunity
Hansler Industries is looking for a skilled Field Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

The Opportunity
Hansler Industries is looking for a skilled Field Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:
- Adequately diagnose and repair heavy machinery and lift equipment as required by customers
- Build relationships with customers, communicating a clear understanding of job scopes and repair requirements
- Perform planned maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment
- Conduct tasks assigned from the Dispatcher, maintaining communication and providing updates as needed
- Prepare all required parts before visiting job sites
- Actively communicate with the Parts department to ensure required parts are available
- Complete work order forms for assigned jobs
- Adhere to warranty policies, and complete necessary warranty documentation
- Report any safety incidents according to company policy
- Maintain proper documentation as needed
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson’s ticket, or 5+ years of proven experience in a related industry
- Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification preferred
- Experience with the Linde product line would be an asset but not required
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to travel to customer sites within local region as needed
- Ability to travel to the US would be an asset
