Position: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary
Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to take their career to the next level by influencing and helping to shape the End User Computing and Mobile Systems Architecture for a leader in the real estate industry.
Reporting to the Manager of Endpoint Engineering, this role provides, technical operational support, leadership and strategic oversight across the management of end-user computing and mobile device technologies Windows, OneDrive, iOS, Samsung, MDM, and app packaging utilizing Microsoft Intune.
With a collaborative and security-first mindset, you’ll partner with stakeholders and IT groups to ensure that solutions meet both operational functionality and security requirements while continuously improving processes and user experiences. This position requires a strong technical background combined with excellent communication, problem-solving, and engagement skills to drive impactful solutions and foster a supportive, high-performance team environment.
The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000.
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.

Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Oversee the daily management, configurations and optimization of end-user computing and mobile devices including troubleshooting ensuring efficient and reliable service delivery.
- Strategy & Direction: Lead strategy, planning, and execution of end-user computing and mobile management, aligning with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong relationships with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders, aligning technical solutions with business objectives and ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Address complex technical challenges creatively, especially in computing and mobile management, and continuously improve processes for better user experiences and organization efficiency.
- IT Security Alignment: Ensure all solutions and processes adhere to a security-first approach, maintaining close alignment with IT Security groups to ensure policy implementation and alignment to safeguard company assets, support and enhance QuadReal’s security standards.
- Communication & Collaboration: Partner closely with the Service Desk and IT teams to provide guidance, foster skill development, and create a supportive, knowledge-sharing environment that enhances teamwork and service quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek out and drive opportunities for service enhancement, promoting industry best practices, improving users experience and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Cost Optimization: Design and implement cost-effective computing support services, considering both hardware and software needs to ensure budget-conscious delivery of high-quality services.
- Enterprise Systems Expertise: 5+ years of experience in enterprise environments, in systems administration or engineering, including recent experience in modern desktop ecosystem design and management utilizing Microsoft Intune.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune system architecture, Azure, Entra, Active Directory, OneDrive, Windows, mobile and computing hardware, software delivery, and systems upgrades and updates.
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and senior IT leaders, along with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- EUC Technology Knowledge: Comprehensive experience with end-user device management (EUC), Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X/iOS, mobile device management (MDM & MAM), and enterprise mobility management (EMM).
- PowerShell & Application Packaging: Strong scripting experience, particularly in PowerShell, and knowledge of application packaging technologies to manage updates, testing, and vendor collaboration.
- IT Infrastructure & ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with IT security, networking, virtual servers, and ITIL change management processes to maintain alignment with enterprise architecture and best practices.
- Strategic Experience: Nice to have a history of designing and presenting roadmaps to senior IT leaders.
- Educational Background: BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
