We’re looking for a Digital Print Operator who can provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. This individual will produce print orders using various Digital production printers and attachments. The Digital Print Operator ensures compliance with job specifications and company quality standards and procedures. They will also coordinate work load schedules to meet customer deadlines, while achieving optimum productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various Color and B&W digital print production equipment and printers
  • Read dockets thoroughly and sign run/quality sheets for all jobs, transfer and process customer files, setup and proof jobs
  • Conduct Quality checks – before, during and after jobs are complete, communicate issues to the leadhand or Supervisor/Manager
  • Prioritize the workload during your shift based on finishing and delivery expectations
  • Work effectively as a part of a team to achieve optimum quality and meet deadlines, ensuring a fantastic customer service experience
  • Physical movement of product to and from the department
  • Ensure all staff tasks and training schedules are followed
  • Follow OH & S and environmental protocols
  • Ensure RMI inventory is monitored, docket calc match and spoilage is recorded
  • Promote consistent process/procedure continuous improvements

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of all print processes, specifically digital, including knowledge of ISO and Quality procedures, with a keen eye for color accuracy, and various color standards
  • Excellent communication skills to interpret incoming information onto production staff
  • Strong Customer Service skills, logic and mathematical abilities
  • Proven organizational, time management, and multi-tasking/priority setting skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong Computer Skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat; basic knowledge of various graphics software suites including, Adobe CS, and Quark Express would be considered an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of PC and Unix operating systems
  • Able to work overtime to meet customer demands with little or no notice
