Metlen Energy and Metals is seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist to join our M Renewables division in Calgary, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating contracts to ensure they meet the company's business objectives and legal requirements. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that contracts are properly executed and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Role Will Encompass:

  • Developing and implementing contract management policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Leading a team of contracts analysts in reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating contracts.

  • Collaborating with senior leadership to develop business strategies and ensure alignment with contract management goals.

  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with complex contracts, including those related to procurement, supply chain management, and intellectual property.

  • Providing training and guidance to junior contracts analysts on contract management principles and best practices.

  • Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and partners.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; a Juris Doctor or Master's degree in a related field is an asset.

  • 5+ years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or a related field; experience in the solar renewable energy industry is an asset.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex contracts and negotiating favorable terms for the company.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and direct a team of contracts analysts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Familiarity with contract management software and systems is essential
