Our client, was established nearly 40 years ago, and has evolved from a small home builder into a leading organization with diverse operations in home building, land development, residential rentals, commercial assets, and real estate lending. With a strong entrepreneurial foundation, the company has steadily expanded its reach and industry presence.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee multi-family project development from start to finish, including budgeting, planning, and securing approvals.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, implementing cost control to meet profitability targets and prevent overruns.
  • Monitor financial performance, adjust strategies, and negotiate to optimize profitability.
  • Collaborate with construction and sales teams to define and adhere to project timelines.
  • Guide Project Managers to meet budget and profitability goals, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships, provide updates, and address out-of-scope issues as necessary, while mentoring and leading project management staff.


Requirements:


  • Over 10 years of senior project management experience, with 5 years in local construction
  • Project Management Certification and a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; P.Eng. designation is an asset.
  • Extensive technical expertise in managing complex projects with strong project management principles.
  • Skilled in market research and analysis, identifying market trends and opportunities.
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and financial performance analysis.
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities, with effective communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
