As our Commercial Operations and Field Services Representative, identifying opportunities, as well as the planning and execution of the complete sale for SECURE’s Metal Recycling business.
This role is based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations group to maintain a positive atmosphere and culture that is strong and vibrant.
Work Environment
This is a full time temporary position starting in January for 4 - 8 months.

A Day in The Life
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of SECURE and our operations. Knowledge of the metal recycling industry is considered an asset.
- Able to exploit business opportunities to grow SECURE’s market share
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of customers’ business and corporate strategy and integrate this knowledge into all business relationships
- Possess a detailed knowledge of the market drivers and operational costs to support the development of successful bids and proposals
- Understand and partner with Operations to ensure that assigned business targets are achieved while maintaining a high standard of customer service;
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the competitive landscape through competitor analysis
- Represent SECURE’s Metals division at tradeshows, lunch and learns, conferences, industry events and other networking opportunities
- Remain up to date on relevant industry regulations and trends including, upcoming projects and innovative technologies
- Work with the business unit administrators and operations managers to effectively resolve any potential issues with payables or receivables; and
- Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders (the business and customers);
- Negotiate skillfully through tough situations with both internal and external groups, settling differences with minimal noise and without damaging relationships;
- Travel and maintain high level of performance across the entire area of operations.
- Support and facilitate cooperation across operational work groups to achieve assigned business targets
- Clearly and confidently present the complete suite of SECRE products and service lines to target customers emphasizing the key features, advantages and benefits
- Promote SECURE’s safety culture
- Adapt, follow and demonstrate SECURE’s vision, purpose and values
- A minimum of 3 years of sales, business development or client relations or related education
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel is required
- Experience in preparing and submitting quotation and bid proposals
- Experience in managing a budget and achieving assigned goals
- Experience working within the Metals Recycling industry with established contacts would be considered an asset
- A strong commitment to safety and understanding of behavior-based safety culture
- Excellent selling, communication and strong customer relationship building skills
- An understanding of the principles, methods, and strategies used for promoting and selling services
- Effective communication skills, possess strong people, presentation, and technical writing skills
- Self-motivated and driven, to stay ahead of new activity coming into area plus managing existing clients
- Solid work ethic and a high level of integrity, team oriented and able to work with very little supervision
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to meet timelines and attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to work flexible hours
