The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, while ensuring that all transactions and documentation complies with IFRS. This role will also play an integral part in daily treasury management.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Prepare daily journal entries, while mapping to Yardi general ledger (GL) codes and properties, and importing journal entries to Yardi to reflect daily cash transactions and operational results
• Perform detailed reconciliation of bank accounts (including those with high volume of transactions), while verifying bank deposits and payments, and ensuring that discrepancies are addressed in a timely follow-up action according to corporate standards
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, while accurately allocating expenses to multiple accounts and properties per internal policies
• Assist in preparation of daily cash reports and cash flow forecast reports, while proactively managing requests for funding to maintain bank account balances
• Monitor Accounting and Treasury Inboxes and timely respond to arising questions
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements and working papers, while ensuring the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy
• Compile and analyze financial information for business units and perform variance analysis
• Provide support, coordination, address and respond to queries from internal reviewers and auditors, while taking ownership of issues and ensuring a successful resolution
• We are an agile team and embrace additional responsibilities as and when the business need arises
  
  
  

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is considered an asset
• 1-3 years experience with bank reconciliations
• YARDI or SiteLink experience is considered an asset
• Intermediate MS excel skills
• Ability to work with large volume of daily transactions and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, ability to be a self-starter, work independently, while demonstrating excellent organizational and communication skills
