The Sales Representive reports directly to the Sales Leader and is responsible for securing HVAC service, maintenance, and contract agreements. In this role, you will use your technical, organizational, and service knowledge to assist new customers in developing the best possible solution while also contributing to the revenue growth of the region. You will play an active role in the marketing, planning, and technical development of products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To

  • Create new long-term customer relationships with new customers to successfully understand their needs and specific requirements
  • Develops new business within the key product offerings (eg: Maintenance Contracts, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Sheet Metal, DDC, Controls, Retrofit Small Jobs, Projects & FMOs)
  • Utilizes B&M’s proven sales methods to identify and soliciting potential clients within the service department, and/or other divisional departments (as required)
  • Generates and creates a backlog of proposals that will provide sufficient work for the team; obtains sales quotas with acceptable margins
  • Assesses customer’s needs and resources; recommends appropriate/tailored solutions that include HVAC related services
  • Develops reports and proposals; prepares sales contracts and conducts sales presentations
  • Ensures smooth transition from sales to operations team by following B&M’s processes
  • Consults with customers periodically to resolve problems and provide ongoing support
  • Assists with troubleshooting technical problems related to services and/or equipment
  • Pursues professional development and attends all B&M required training
  • Participates in department planning meetings as necessary and attends company sponsored events, as required

EDUCATION And WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A university degree or college diploma in business commerce or related sales/marketing discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of related outside sales / marketing experiene selling non-tangible items, preferably related to HVAC services and equipment

Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Communicates effectively and is innovative in the solving of customer issues or concerns
  • Professional in all dealings with trades, office staff and customers
  • Willing and able to travel to client sites, as required
  • Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SalesForce
