Perforating Gun Loader

About the Role

The Perforating Gun Loader is responsible for independently loading, repairing, and properly storing all perforating type guns, testing tools, and related equipment at the location. This role includes maintaining an accurate inventory control list of sensitive materials, the ordering of necessary items, and ensuring compliance with all federal regulations. The person filling this position works without supervision, understands the risks associated with equipment maintenance, and prioritizes safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Load explosives into perforating guns and carriers used in perforating operations with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilize specialized tools to assemble perforators according to strict specifications.
• Insert specified charges into the chamber of perforating guns with careful adherence to safety protocols.
• Safely store loaded guns, explosives, and related materials in compliance with federal regulations to ensure a secure work environment.
• Maintain meticulous inventory records of all explosives to facilitate efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate proficiency in loading all types of guns to support various project requirements.
• Proactively regulate the purchase, transport, and use of explosives to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
• Demonstrated proficiency through 2-5 years of previous Wireline Experience.
• Possession of a current and valid Blasters Ticket as evidence of expertise and compliance.
• Clean Drivers Record as per company policies to ensure safe operation of company vehicles.
• Clean Criminal Record Check with no convictions or felonies to uphold the company's commitment to safety and integrity.
• Working knowledge of basic electricity and proven ability to handle explosives safely and effectively.
