Descartes SupplyVision is looking for a full stack developer who is proficient in C# and Delphi VCL to join our team and work on various projects in the transportation industry, particularly logistics and freight forwarding. In this newly created position. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining desktop applications and backend processing applications using Delphi and SQL Server and for working to migrate Delphi code to C#.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Analyze/interpret business requirements to design, develop, test applications using Delphi/c#.net and SQL Server.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand requirements and provide feedback.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices and standards.
  • Maintain loose coupling and tight cohesion concepts when implementing features.
  • Increase and add unit test coverage when building new and updating existing features.
  • Add unit testing to non test friendly legacy code when implementing features.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple environments and platforms.
  • Upgrade existing applications.
  • Follow approved development methodologies (i.e. Scrum, Agile, etc.)
  • Use Azure Dev Ops and/or Git Source Control to manage code repositories and workflows
  • Cross team opportunities are available for C# .net work

Required Qualifications

  • Full Stack C# Developer with experience with modern versions of Visual Studio
  • Full Stack Delphi VCL Developer with experience with modern versions of Delphi VCL/Delphi Studio
  • Visual Studio

  • Must be familiar with SQL Server
  • Must be proficient in Transact-SQL

Location: This is a remote opportunity, open to applicants authorized to work in Canada, preference givien to the residents of Montreal/Quebec.

Salary Range: CAD 80,000 - 100,000
