The Mechanical Technician is responsible for providing repair and or testing of various customers valve equipment as per operational demand, improving efficiency and asset utilization. Roles And Responsibilities

  • Work independently under minimal supervision on customer equipment.
  • Perform dismantle, inspection, assembly, and testing of various types of valve assemblies.
  • Responsible to support a continuous improvement culture, attend training programs, & initiatives.
  • Actively engaged in a safe work environment as well as participate in a HSE culture (training, safety observations system, daily safety meetings)
  • Perform pressure testing operations on various types of equipment (rigorous training provided)
  • Responsible to implement reliability practices.
  • Responsible for daily inspections of equipment, regular upkeep of various shop tools, reporting and scheduling of equipment in need of regular maintenance/repair.
  • Responsible for a clean work area, care of and maintain hand tools.
  • Utilize maintenance business systems to reach full cost, time, and equipment traceability for maintenance performance (movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain).
  • When relevant participate to failure investigations
  • Follow fixed-step training program and ensure his/her training is on schedule and accurately recorded.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Must have the minimum of a high school certification and 2-year similar or relevant experience.
  • Preference of working in an industrial center.
  • Mechanical experience preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
