Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Engineer, Process Safety on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex. This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.
We operate a world-class refinery that utilizes cutting-edge technology to produce 130,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day and an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters. As one of Canada’s largest refineries we employee over 1,000 people.
In this exciting role you will work with the Process Safety team on the planning, execution and delivery of Process and Technical Safety Engineering to the Co-op Refinery Complex.
What you’ll do:
- Support the development and implementation of the CRC Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) and contribute to the design and implementation of improvements to processes to increase safety, reliability, environmental performance, risk management, and the manufacturing of quality products at CRC.
- Act as a champion for Process Safety at the Co-op Refinery Complex by serving as a Team Lead for some aspect or element of Process Safety Management (PSM) to further the integration of Process Safety into day-to-day operations.
- Work towards the optimization and sustainability of our Risk Management Process.
- Assist with the planning, execution and delivery of Process and Technical Safety Engineering throughout the Co-op Refinery Complex.
- Collaborate with Major Projects and Project Engineering departments to develop and imbed process safety management into project design and delivery.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering to provide technical advice to project teams regarding equipment spacing, overpressure protection, relief valve sizing, risk reduction methodologies, etc.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Engineering & Engineering Technology and:
- You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- You have a minimum of six (6) years in petroleum refining or a related industry (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- You are familiar with qualitative and quantitative risk analysis capabilities, various PHA techniques (HAZOP, What-if, Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) etc.).
- You are registered with Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible to register.
