Logistics Coordinator
Our client is searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the transport of raw materials and finished products to and from the third-party warehouses, blenders, manufacturing plants and the customers. A successful candidate will be flexible in complex, ambiguous and stressful situations.

Our client is searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the transport of raw materials and finished products to and from the third-party warehouses, blenders, manufacturing plants and the customers. A successful candidate will be flexible in complex, ambiguous and stressful situations.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Manage logistics operations, including freight forwarding via land, ocean and air
- Negotiate freight rates with freight forwards and freight brokers
- Consolidate freight shipments
- Issue DG classifications as per SDS and Issue Bills of Lading
- Prepare export documentation and coordinate container preparation
- Prepare import customs clearance with customs brokers and arrange drayage
- Assisting with label creation with the Procurement and Laboratory departments
- Organize your workflow to meet internal and external customer timeframes
- Collaborate with the Safety Representative to ensure safety protocols are being followed and support internal safety measures
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management
- Adhere to the company core values and build a positive company image internally and externally
- Other duties as assigned
- 2+ years of experience and training in transport and logistics coordination
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Experience in logistics and shipping software programs is an asset
- Can work independently but also thrives in a collaborative work environment
- Strong time management skills and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has a positive focus on continuous improvement
