The Registration Clerk is responsible for indexing all mail that has been scanned in by the Scan Operators and registering all Early Intervention, Weekly Indemnity and Long Term disability claims on multiple systems. As well, this position reviews letters prepared by Disability Case Managers, and ensures these and cheques are mailed out accurately according to special mailing instructions of policyholders.

How You Will Create Impact
- Verify Eligibility by collecting billing information from the employer and premium admin, contacting employer, employee, Third party Administrators and other group departments for additional information as necessary
- Determine the dat of loss, disability cause and other qualifying data, contacting employers or Third party administrators, physicians or other treatment providers, and employees to ensure that accurate data is collected in regards to the absence from work and other details regarding claim.
- Verify salary information and calculate monthly salary according to the terms of the policy, ensuring any varied salary data is gathered and considered accordingly.
- Print all letters the same day as dropped into the OnBase letter queue by the case manager
- Perform a high level proof of the letter for format, spelling and address errors.
- For new claims that have been approved, ensure that letters and cheques are matched and are sent as per the special agreed upon mailing procedures.
- You influence change and are committed to continuous improvement, in order to exceed client expectations.
- You leverage critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions.
- Your strong communication skills allow you to clearly convey messages.
- You’re an effective team player who shares knowledge to support your peers.
- You have 1-2 years of office environment experience.
- You have a good understanding of medical terminology.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
- You have a basic understanding of scanning operations.
- You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
