Location
This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada. Please note if you are located in Ottawa you will be expected to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in our Ottawa office.
About The Team
The Global Marketing Events Manager is responsible for designing, executing, and managing impactful marketing events that enhance brand presence, foster customer engagement, and support lead generation. The role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and creativity to deliver successful events that align with overall marketing and business objectives.
This position works cross-functionally with internal and external vendors to ensure events are executed seamlessly and yield measurable results.

About The Team
The Global Marketing Events Manager is responsible for designing, executing, and managing impactful marketing events that enhance brand presence, foster customer engagement, and support lead generation. The role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and creativity to deliver successful events that align with overall marketing and business objectives.
This position works cross-functionally with internal and external vendors to ensure events are executed seamlessly and yield measurable results.
What you will do
- Develop event strategies aligned with marketing goals, including detailed proposals, budgets and timelines.
- Conduct market research to identify event opportunities and target audience needs.
- Oversee end-to-end event production, including venue selection, vendor management, and logistics.
- Coordinate event setup, teardown, and registration to ensure smooth execution and high engagement.
- Collaborate with the content and design teams to create compelling event marketing materials, including invitations, presentations, and signage.
- Plan and execute pre and post event marketing campaigns to drive participation and follow-up.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers, managing relationships to maintain high quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients during the event planning and execution phases.
- Analyze event performance and prepare reports with insights and recommendations for future improvement.
- Oversee event registration, attendee management, and communication to maximize participation and engagement.
- Proven experience in trade show planning and execution.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with sponsors, ensuring fulfillment of sponsorship commitments and collaborate across the marketing team to maximize brand exposure through sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related events related.
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in event planning and management across a wide range of event formats, including tradeshows
- Skilled Project Manager with demonstrated experience managing large scale events.
- Demonstrated professional interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, track projects and meet urgent deadlines.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
- Valid passport is required, ability to travel as required up to (20%)
