Acumatica is seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with expertise in delivering technology solutions to the Commercial Construction industry with a focus on project management and workers on the job site.  This role is ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about understanding the needs of our customer’s users, deep understanding of the Acumatica product and being part of a collaborative team culture.  As a pivotal leader, the TPM will drive the prioritization and delivery of Acumatica’s Construction Edition by understanding customer and user needs and converting these into precise requirements for our engineering teams. This role is crucial in developing products that resonate with industry demands.

Technical Product Managers (TPMs) at Acumatica are empowered leaders who drive product requirements from inception to execution and delivery. TPMs must effectively communicate with customers, articulating what, why, and expected outcomes for each initiative and/or features. They are expected to make informed decisions aimed at achieving positive business outcomes. Inherently curious, TPMs frequently ask "why" in their interactions, applying excellent problem-solving skills and logical reasoning to their work. TPMs spend approximately 50% of their time engaging with customers to understand their problems and needs. The remaining time is dedicated to translating these insights to the engineering team, facilitating precise and impactful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert – Product and Users.
  • Prioritize the product Backlog for maximum value to customers and positive business impact.
  • Maintain overall product capability assessment in comparison to roadmap and competition.
  • Engage customers and partners for insights and validation of user. requirements used in defining priority epics and stories as well feedback from completed dev work.
  • Propose the quarterly release plan driven by the product objectives, initiatives and roadmap.
  • Review and approve the quality and maintenance items in the release plan.
  • Communicate clearly plan dependency and needs across teams.
  • Define, prioritize and help to solution product features user requirements and use cases for release plan epics.
  • Understand and Create User Personas.
  • Document competitive Intelligence as it relates to prioritized product initiatives and features.
  • Daily participation and collaboration in the execution of the release plan roadmap.
  • Review and accept feature designs and/or functional specifications including the engineering estimate.
  • Accept development complete epics/features for release to production.
  • Stakeholder and approver of “recovery plan” for epics/features that are at risk in a release.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional design reviews.
  • Actively participate in the Community Portal.
  • Provide Release Training to Cross-Functional Departments.
  • Support product related escalations.


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical field.
  • Strong understanding of software development and web technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum/waterfall development methodologies.
