Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Supply Chain branch within the Health Services division as a Patient and Supply Courier at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • The operation of a vehicle of less than three tons capable of transporting supplies, mail, passengers, providing messenger services and urgent deliveries;
  • Performing or scheduling maintenance and repair work on vehicles;
  • Loading and unloading materials being transported;
  • Providing assistance to passengers;
  • Cleaning vehicles, the garage, or other assigned areas; as well as,
  • Maintaining a driver's log (distance, fuel consumption).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a high school diploma or successful completion of G.E.D.
  • One (1) year of previous driving work experience.
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some travel required.
  • Possess a valid class 4 driver's license that authorizes the holder to drive a bus with a capacity of less than 25 passengers.
  • Extended work hours may be required on occasion.

Hourly Rate: $23.72 ¿ Canadian Union of Public Employees ¿ Local 1190
