We invite applications for the position of full-time Baker to join our team at our Hawkstone Food Store located in Edmonton, AB. Open availability is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the department
  • Prepare a wide variety of baked goods using specific guidelines
  • Ensure consistency of all products being baked
  • Ability to follow production planners working with the Manager to project daily requirements while managing shrink
  • Keep cooler and freezers organized while having a good understanding of stock
  • Cleaning bakery in adherence to all food safety guidelines
  • Filling out temperature and sanitation guides

Who You Are

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • Post-secondary education in related field (Red seal certificate preferred)
  • Previous experience as a retail Baker
  • Previous cake decorating experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional math skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and stand for long periods of time
