Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Construction Innovation and Development, as the Facilitator, Construction Training you will influence continuous improvement and ensure that standards of excellence inside training programs support the Construction teams. You also foster positive relationships with business units and external parties to champion acceptance, understanding, and improvement in construction best practices.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

• Organizing, facilitating, and presenting training modules for Construction teams and other related employees.
• Assisting in modifying course content or developing alternative training methods when required.
• Assisting in maintaining training program material, monitoring, and reporting on the outcomes and results of participants enrolled in the training program modules.
• Collaborating on module-based strategy documents related to training program.
• Supporting and adapting the course material to align with the corporate objectives with the CPS (Construction and Procedural Standards) team.
• Liaising with business units to determine their needs and expanding the training program offerings as required.
• Assisting in the management of strategic partnerships with external agencies and academic institutions for value-added outcomes and updated instruction technique.
• Remaining up to date on best practices and industry developments to ensure training methods are relevant, vibrant, and engaging.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant understanding of effective teaching, facilitation and leadership methodology is required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant residential construction experience and knowledge or similar field level accountability.
• Ability and willingness to adopt new techniques in corporate instruction is required.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint), BuildPro and/or SupplyPro or similar programs.
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Trade certification in relevant provincial apprenticeship and/or certificate in Construction Management/Technology or equivalent is an asset.
• Certificate in Adult Education is an asset.
• Previous experience in public speaking and presenting is preferred.

Work Conditions

You work in both the field and in an office setting during regular business hours. Travel to sites, and other regions is occasionally required.
