JOB TYPE: Permanent part-time

SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken English

JOB SUMMARY:
Technical and clinical work involving the use of intense magnetic fields. Employees in this class perform a wide range of MRI examinations. Responsibilities include: detect and record normal and abnormal slices and modify the procedure as needed; notify specialists when a case requires immediate attention; measure anatomical slices and assist other health specialists in administering gases and sedatives to patients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registration with the New Brunswick Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
• MRI certificate
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
• Certificate in intravenous therapy for medical radiation technologists or able to obtain it within four weeks of the hiring date
• Personal qualities – to be determined
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform assigned work
• Good work history (performance and attendance)
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules
