Cyber Defense and Resilience, Technology and Transformation is a critical part of Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Services practice, which helps our clients to be Secure, Vigilant and Resilient in the face of an ever-increasing array of cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Our Cyber Defense and Resilience services help organizations with the management of information and technology risks by delivering end-to-end solutions, using proven methodologies and tools in a consistent manner. Our services help organizations address timely and pervasive issues such as identity theft, data security breaches, data leakage, cyber security, and system outages across organizations of various sizes and industries, with the goal of enabling ongoing, secure, and reliable operations across the enterprise.

What will your typical day look like?
- The Network Security Consultants/Senior Consultants are responsible for delivering projects and/or deliverables specific to network security.
- This could include but not limited to: assess, architect, or implement new opportunities regarding firewalls, IPS/IDS, NAC, web security/proxy, cloud infrastructures, SIEM, network security assessments, and configuration reviews.
- You are also the escalation point of contact for complex and high impact incidents.
- A successful Consultant/Senior Consultant oversees market trends, proposes cost effective solutions, understands client needs, and guides other team members to grow. They are also responsible to grow client relationships and develop and deliver detailed documentation.
You are someone with:
- 5+ years of experience in Network Security in a professional environment
- Strong knowledge, understanding and experience with IT networking with extensive knowledge in one of the below:
- DDoS (e.g. Akamai, Shape)
- Micro-Segmentation (e.g. Illumio, Guardicore)
- NAC (e.g. Forescout)
- SASE (e.g. PAN, ZScalar)
- Experience and working knowledge of the following platforms or being a subject matter expert in one of the following would be considered an asset:
- Firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point)
- Web Proxies (e.g. Prisma Access, BlueCoat, Zscaler)
- Routers and switches (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, HP)
- Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
- Good understanding of security principles, guidelines and international standards/policies such as ISO, ISMS, or NIST
- Good organizational skills and can work independently on activities
- Proven editing and proof-reading skills; focused on accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication skills and demonstrated confidence in dealing directly with colleagues at all levels
- Proven client service skills
- Project management with ITIL / infrastructure process, standards and documentation acumen
- Be able to obtain Canadian Security Clearances (considered an asset)
