Senior Architectural Designer

MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Architectural Designer in Calgary, AB. Our client is a distinguished Calgary-based homebuilder renowned for crafting personalized, energy-efficient homes that cater to diverse lifestyles. With a commitment to quality and innovation, they offer a variety of house models, including paired and single-storey homes, as well as larger three-storey designs. Their adaptable process allows for unique modifications to floorplans, ensuring each home reflects the homeowner's individual preferences.
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models, working drawings, plot plans, and elevations for single-family homes using Revit.
- Design original concept floor plans and elevations while adhering to established processes.
- Ensure all architectural designs and documentation meet construction standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with the drafting and design team to address project challenges and improve processes.
- Apply knowledge of local residential construction bylaws to designs where applicable.
Requirements
- Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the single-family residential industry, any leadership experience is an asset .
- Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Knowledge of residential construction and local bylaws is an asset, along with a proactive and adaptable work approach.
