Position Overview

As a Financial Service Representative / Member Service Representative you will play a critical role in achieving the goals of the organization by building strong and long-lasting member relations through credit and member services. Job Purpose & Summary

As an FSR I, , you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members, assisting them with their financial needs and helping them achieve their financial goals. Your ability to adapt, your proactive approach and commitment to excellence will be key to your success. The FSR I plays a critical role in achieving the goal of the organization by building strong and long lasting member relations through providing members with exceptional services.

Skill Requirements

Required Experience

- Post-secondary education Finance or Business is preferred;
- At least 2 years of equivalent work experience in a financial services sales’ environment with a proven track record in sales preferred;
- A basic working knowledge of investment related products such as GIC’s, TFSA’s, and RRSP’s;
- Strong Business Acumen;
- Superior member service skills, including dealing with difficult member situations;
- Strong technical and computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Prior banking/credit union experience preferred;
- Must be bondable.

What you’d be doing:

- Understanding members' financial needs and offering appropriate solutions via phone, email, and in person while actively participating in revenue generation through sales to meet performance objectives.
- Within approval limits, approve or provide recommendations on products and services including new accounts, loans, mortgages, lines of credit, investment products, MeritLines, and insurance.
- Provide exceptional member service and support on the front-line as required.
- Responsible for holding estate meetings ensuring completion and closure from document intake to account creation.
- Reconciles, daily, new loan reports and verifies daily loans to ensure that all documents pertaining to the loan are properly filled out and the information is inputted on DNA and LOS correctly;

Salary Range: $39,800 – $59,700

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
