Are you a First Nations, Metis, or Inuit professional who has a strong understanding in financial statements and accounting principles?
We're looking for you to join our team as an Associate, Commercial Banking, in select locations across Turtle Island (Canada).
Join CIBC’s Commercial Banking team and support account teams in client acquisition, relationship management, and credit processes while providing transactional support for tailored financing solutions. This role is a pathway to becoming a Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking, where you’ll serve as a strategic partner to some of Canada’s leading companies. Deliver flexible business solutions, expert advice, and dedicated support to help clients achieve their goals.
How You’ll Succeed:
Business Development Support: Collaborate with Relationship Managers to coordinate sales activities, execute business development initiatives, and identify growth opportunities through tailored financing solutions.- Research & Evaluation: Conduct thorough industry, client, and prospect research to evaluate business opportunities. Prepare analyses and support credit submissions, including structuring and documentation.
- Client Experience: Assess client needs, propose solutions, and deliver exceptional service. Apply industry knowledge to develop proposals for financial and strategic solutions that align with client goals.

REQUIREMENTS
- Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience in financial statements and accounting principles including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis
- Eager to work within a team or independently
- Strong problem-solving skills
