Position Overview

The City of Prince Albert is seeking an Asset Data Technician to support, coordinate, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of city-wide asset data, while establishing effective data integration across various platforms to enhance asset management capabilities. This position will support the City’s Asset Management Plan by working with City departments.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Key Duties:
  • Maintain standards for asset data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all city

departments.

  • Conduct regular data audits to verify quality, addressing inconsistencies or errors to

maintain high data integrity.

  • Partner with city departments to ensure data standards are upheld and support uniform,

accurate asset tracking across the organization.

  • Coordinate data integration efforts across various platforms used within the city, including

financial and asset management systems.

  • Perform thorough quality control reviews to maintain accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain various records, reports, and correspondence related to

asset data and asset management activities.

  • Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety regulations, acts, and policies to maintain a safe

working environment.

  • General Duties
  • Attend to all inquiries through personal, telephone, and written communication.
  • Follow acts, regulations, bylaws, agreements, policies and procedures.
  • Follow regulations, acts and policies of Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field and or an equivalent combination

of education, training and experience acceptable to the City.

  • 2 – 3 years related experience
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license with the Province of Saskatchewan.
