- Identifying and securing sales opportunities of all products or services offered to develop, grow the business and expand market share.
- Building, managing and enhancing relationships with customers in the defined territory.
- Use CRM tool to manage customer relationships which includes leads, opportunities, orders and account plans.
- Development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve sales forecast.
- Develop, nurture and maintain close working relationships with decision makers.
- Reviews customer applications proactively and makes specific recommendations for equipment reliability improvement under general direction of his manager and/or the Regional Engineer.
- Analyzes and evaluates specific customer applications. Then submits recommendations for improvement.
- Supervises, inspects and troubleshoots as required the application, installation, modification and commissioning of all entire product portfolio at customer sites.
- Provide technical training for clients on products and services offered.
- Observes, collects and evaluates customer install base. Then reports seal program’s results utilizing John Crane’s current reliability management software, e.g., INTERFACEÓ under general direction of their sales manager and/or Regional Engineer.
- Analyzes the equipment survey for inventory optimization opportunities within current management guidelines.
- Investigates mechanical seal failures and makes recommendations for changes in product configuration, design and materials for improved performance by producing failure analysis reports.
- Communicates orally and in writing with customers, company personnel, and vendors providing counseling, quotes, recommendations, and technical assistance.
- Prepares technical reports, proposals and quotes for the application of product on customer equipment for first fit equipment installations or upgrades to existing equipment installations.
- Collects new equipment data sheets from customer’s project engineers and makes recommendations with guidance from their Manager and/or the Regional Engineer.
- Develops close working relationships with internal support staff to help facilitate business objectives.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary to comply with customer requests, or as required by their Manager.
- Post- secondary education in Engineering (Mechanical preferably) or equivalent industry experience
- Professional selling skills training would be an advantage
- 5 years of related technical sales experience selling to various markets would be an advantage.
- Understand how to effectively use computers and mobile devices to enhance productivity
- Understands how to use CRM tool to manage customer relationships
