Salary range for the position is $106,026 to $152,413. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.
How will you make an impact?
The Manager is responsible for hiring and managing the clinical performance of HART Registered Nurses (RNs) and ensuring high quality, evidence-informed patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring service delivery, managing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs, developing practice standards, and overseeing budgets.
The Manager collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders to manage complex projects and represent Interior Health on provincial working groups.
This role requires significant travel and participation in a rotation for weekend and holiday leadership in access and flow activities.
What will you work on?
- Works in a co-management model with HART Base Managers to hire, orient, develop and manage RN performance.
- Oversees day-to-day operations of HART patient transfers and supports to rural and remote hospitals.
- Evaluates frontline clinical practice and partners for annual staff performance evaluations.
- Identifies and adjusts learning plans for staff members to meet practice standards.
- Provides clinical leadership and ensures compliance with program standards.
- Develops and utilizes surveillance tools to track key performance indicators.
- Conducts regular audits of HART activities and maintains related records.
- Collaborates with clinical leaders to support strategic programming initiatives.
- Develops and reviews standard operating procedures and ensures staff familiarity.
- Leads the Clinical Practice Educator to ensure staff competency in high acuity transport environments.
- Tables, analyzes, and monitors program performance for improvement recommendations.
- Participates in research projects related to High Acuity Patient Transportation.
- Coordinates an annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference.
- Ensures compliance with applicable Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
