The Opportunity: Quick description of job (3-4 sentences), then 3 bullets of main responsibilities:
- Prepares and submits a list of food program equipment and supplies to restock inventory required for ongoing food program operation
- Develops food/menu plans for breakfast, lunch and dinner menus based on Canada’s Food Guide and any special dietary/allergy requirements with direction from their supervisor
- Determines food quantity and variety, determines costs and undertakes purchase, transport and proper on-site storage of food in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Standards.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Education equivalent to completion of grade 12, supplemented by work or training in the food planning and preparation area
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a commercial chef / cook, or equivalent in training or experience an asset
- Current Food Safe Certificate
