The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports WildPlay's growth by creating marketing content and providing support for a variety of marketing activities. The Coordinator will work to ensure that WildPlay's brand standards and culture shine in our online and in-park presence.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a highly focused person with strong attention to detail. Creative and adaptable, they love developing quality content that represents an exciting brand. Thriving in a collaborative environment, they apply initiative and work cohesively with others during busy times to ensure that content is delivered successfully. We're looking for someone who thinks critically about their work as it relates to objectives, not just an order-taker!

Principal Accountabilities

  • Creates and delivers digital content (photos, videos, graphics, copy writing, etc.) primarily for WildPlay's Marketing team, but also for other departments as needed
  • Creates short video content to be used in digital ad campaigns
  • Ensures creative is in line with company brand and values
  • Works closely with the marketing team to deliver requested materials
  • Participates in marketing ideation sessions
  • Collaborates with external vendors to deliver content in a timely and effective way
  • Helps create and define the visual expression of WildPlay's strategies and messages
  • Supports with Social Media Management when required

Experience/Skills/Attributes

  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
  • Copywriting, particularly for digital platforms and advertising
  • Comfortable working in Office 365 and communicating digitally
  • Experience developing videos in a variety of styles, such as interviews, advertising and educational
  • Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude in interaction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel (during key events and shoots) to document and create content
  • Strong editing skills in post-production
  • Aware of general marketing principles regarding the use of digital content
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and effectively prioritize competing deadlines
  • Existing knowledge of the tourism and/or adventure park industry is an asset

Work Schedule

Hybrid/flexible, according to the needs of the business. It is primarily situated at WildPlay Ltd. Park Services office in Victoria, BC, with occasional requirements to work at off-site locations. Remote work supported (particularly in Nanaimo or the Lower Mainland) but in-person collaboration in Victoria is preferred.

Context

This role is vital in driving successful outcomes for the WildPlay Network and is a key driver in ensuring that marketing and sales programs produce high-quality, measured results while sticking to established brand guidelines. This role can also help us to discover the value of video in other aspects of the business.

The position reports to the Marketing Manager.

This position is only available to students on an academic co-op term.
