About The Opportunity
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a tenured, bilingual professional to lead a dynamic team on a permanent basis as their Director of Operations and Labour Relations. This position is responsible for senior management functions that support the operational, political, and strategic goals of the organization. Under the direction of the National President, the successful candidate will lead a small and collaborative team.

The position offers $110,000 to $135,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The successful candidate will follow a hybrid working arrangement and have free parking available onsite.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a tenured, bilingual professional to lead a dynamic team on a permanent basis as their Director of Operations and Labour Relations. This position is responsible for senior management functions that support the operational, political, and strategic goals of the organization. Under the direction of the National President, the successful candidate will lead a small and collaborative team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead, manage, and develop the internal Labour Relations, Membership Services, and Finance team
- Manage and oversee legislated and contractual representation obligations
- Provide assistance and sound advice to the National President and Council
- Lead the internal team to ensure efficient operations and delivery of services
- Provide training and oversight to ensure compliance with by-laws and collective agreements
- Advise on multi-jurisdictional labour legislative authorities and ensure compliance
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve objectives
- Manage finances in alignment with organizational goals and budgetary guidelines
The successful candidate will have the following:
- An undergraduate degree in Labour Relations/Industrial Relations or Legal related field, OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Fluent bilingualism in English and French is a must
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with an emphasis on public administration and/or labour law discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
- Minimum of 5 years of substantial experience representing a complainant in a grievance procedure or before an administrative tribunal
- Experience in related areas such as advocacy, community organizing, or labour education is an asset
