If you share our values and would like to work with skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a Contract Specialist.

This individual will report to the Senior Manager of Property Finance and Administration and will supervise the preparation of service and procurement contracts to support our property management teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Play an essential role in maintaining our best-in-class real estate portfolio
  • Work with large contractors across a wide range of service offerings
  • Complete contract tendering/quotation process with oversight from Senior Manager

Finance and Administration

  • Provide a point of liaison between our property operations team and legal counsel to ensure timely and accurate preparation of contracts required for property operations
  • Work directly with and learn from a strong, in-house legal team
  • Ensure our legal team has documentation necessary to support any enforcement actions
  • Ensure scopes of work comply with departmental standards and company requirements
  • Ensure all contractor insurance and WCB compliance certificates are provided as required by contracts
  • Ensure inspections of completed work are tracked and any deficiencies are signed off on before final contract invoice submitted for payment
  • Ensure all invoices receive appropriate approval
  • Monitor expenses against departmental budgets; ensuring accountable managers are aware of expenditures in excess of budget
  • Collaborate with team members from across the company to ensure high priority tasks are completed
  • Complete research to ensure knowledge related to any legislation or industry updates relevant to your department
  • Other similar and related duties as required from time to time

  • Prior experience working with contracts; both preparing draft terms and ensuring that terms are followed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with external vendors
  • Effective precise communicator with verbal and written communications
  • Exemplary understanding of and commitment to confidentiality
  • Someone with the ambition to grow their skillset and learn from our experienced team of professionals
