Product Manager, CASE & AMA

Position: Product Manager, CASE & AMA

Responsibilities

• Proactive management of several suppliers and principals including negotiations, trip/meeting planning
• Assures the timely launch of new products into the market
• Technical support including joint calls and conference calls for traditional CASE products with a focus on Resins and Polymers
• Organize and prepare suppliers and principals meetings for strategy and training sessions
• Develop and educate the team using sales tools such as literature, presentations, and brochures etc.
• Create unique value propositions for customer segments
• Update company information and product line offerings in buyers guides and other associations
• Liaise with Azelis Americas Marketing team
• Daily technical support for customer inquiries and issues
• Review weekly call reports from the sales team for product support and promotion and provide monthly reports of sales and margins plus other activities associated with the role
• Setting stock reorder points and coordinating with Azelis Operations
• Conducting market research and search for new sources to maintain and grow sales
• Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or engineering related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in combination of Sales, Marketing, or Product Management roles

• Knowledge of OEM’s, customers, competitors and Canadian market, as well as an understanding of commercial and marketing skills such as product positioning, strategic and value pricing.
• Financial acumen and analytical capabilities
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage a large number of tasks or projects
• Capable of independent action; takes initiative
• Must earn the confidence of the sales organization
• Familiar with CRM – Chempax or others
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Fluent in English; written and spoken
• French is an asset
  
  

Travel: GTA, Montreal, occasionally Western Canada and the USA with <5%overnight

Office Location: Toronto, Ontario (Home office based with some in office time)

Reports to: Business Unit Manager
