City: Toronto, ON
Contract type: Full time
This is a great job for someone who has experience in compliance within securities industry.
A bit about the job:
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our Canadian team. This role is crucial for managing all compliance matters for Aviva Investors Canada, and liaising with other entities within the Aviva Investors Group. You will be responsible for providing strategic support on compliance-related matters, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures for Canada, and the Aviva Investors Group. Additionally, you will oversee compliance technology initiatives, conduct compliance monitoring and testing in areas such as the Code of Ethics, financial crime, electronic communications, distribution, and social media, and foster a strong compliance culture within the organization. Staying abreast of and managing regulatory changes and initiatives will also be key aspects of this role.
You will regularly review and update policies and procedures to ensure they reflect business updates and comply with Canadian and US securities laws and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, you will review and approve Code of Ethics requests, including personal trading, outside activities, gifts and entertainment, and conflicts of interest, and investigate potential breaches. Reviewing and approving marketing materials, including presentations, websites, publications, and other collateral for distribution in North America, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Aviva Investors Global standards, will also be part of your responsibilities.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
We’re inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences. Excited but not sure you tick every box? Even if you don’t, we would still encourage you to apply. We also consider all forms of flexible working, including part time and job shares.
We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working –spending around 50% of their time in our offices every week - combining the benefits of flexibility, with time together with colleagues.
