We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player to join our Whitehorse, YT Dealership as a Rentals Manager. This is a Full-Time, Regular position.

- Salary: $31.25 to $33.65 per hour
- Vacancies: 1 vacancy
- Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 40.00 hours / week
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Supervise local rental fleet and rental supplies.
- Perform and oversee the various tasks within the Rentals Department such as front-office activities, preparation of rental units, housekeeping, general upkeep of the rental fleet (maintenance, repairs and service), Customer Service etc.
- Conduct administrative duties as required such as reporting and following up on outstanding tasks.
- Plan, assign and direct rentals employees and schedule / delegate client transfers and shuttle bus drivers.
- Address and respond to any concerns or issues that arise in the Rentals department.
- Aid in the preparation of budgets and the monitoring of expenses and financial targets for the Rentals Department.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training rentals employees.
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes to raise customer service levels.
- Address customer questions, concerns, complaints, and comments and resolve problems.
- Aid in inspecting department areas and services to ensure compliance with health and safety and other statutory requirements.
- Supervise, and provide advice, support, guidance, and direction to staff; monitor the performance of staff on an on-going basis; aid in conducting annual performance reviews; and initiate disciplinary action as required.
- Provide written and verbal reports to the General Manager on activities on an ongoing basis, and as requested from time to time.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
- Contribute to the development of Fraserway RV's vision and strategy to guide the Rentals Department.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in hospitality management, business or a related field is an asset.
- 2-5 years of experience in hospitality operations and business management experience.
- 2-5 years of supervisory and management experience.
- Strong leadership skills; Ability to motivate, coach, mentor, and influence all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in German and Dutch is preferred.
- Financial planning and budgeting experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in tourism industry is an asset.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong conflict resolution skills; Tact and diplomacy.
- Team player.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Valid Drivers License
- Clean Driver Abstract
- Interacts with employees, management and the public at large.
- Overtime may be required.
