Microbiology Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) opportunity is available now at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). This is a permanent full time opportunity. Days of work are rotating and shift times are days, evenings and nights.

What Will You Work On
As an MLT, you will work in a team-based environment and perform a variety of duties within the Microbiology department. Typical duties may include performing routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.

KGH is our biggest hospital and most diverse laboratory. Offering Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Histology, AP, Microbiology, Molecular and Point of Care testing. KGH Lab has hundreds of generalists and specialists who collaborate with departments throughout the hospital and sites across our region, to deliver innovative lab services utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
The vibrant city of Kelowna offers so much to enjoy! Vineyards, orchards, golfing, hundreds of hiking and biking trails, amazing beaches and a diverse arts and culture scene situated on stunning Okanagan Lake and not forgetting multiple winter resorts right on our doorstep.
