Social Media and Digital Experience Coordinator

As the Social Media and Digital Experience Coordinator, you will work collaboratively to play a pivotal role in shaping CPSA’s social media presence, driving engagement and ensuring that our external messaging supports the overall goals and strategic directions of CPSA. This role will focus on managing and enhancing our social media strategy, identifying key engagement opportunities and developing high-quality content that resonates with our audiences. The Coordinator will also collaborate across departments to align digital efforts with broader organizational priorities.
This is a contract opportunity for approximately one year working 35 hours/week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engage key audiences, and support the organization's work toward our strategic directions.
- Create and manage engaging content for our social media platforms that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Monitor social media platforms for engagement opportunities, foster meaningful interactions with our audience, and respond to comments or inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with CPSA Communications Advisors and other departments to integrate their initiatives, campaigns and events into the social media plan, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall communication strategy.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to refine strategy and improve engagement metrics.
- Assist the Brand & Digital Advisor with other digital content creation, website updates, and execution of digital campaigns to ensure cohesive and integrated online communication efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices, recommending innovative ideas to improve the organization’s online presence.
- Support the Communications team with other initiatives as required.
- In support of continuous quality improvement, review and make recommendations to update processes or procedures within the program.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related field
Experience:
- 1 – 3 years of related experience
Skills:
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms, developing content and executing social strategies.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, etc.).
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, website management, and analytics reporting (WordPress or similar platforms) is an asset.
SALARY
The salary for this position is $68,826 annually and includes a comprehensive benefit package. During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton Office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
