Job Description: Yard Hand
Location: Grande Prairie, AB
Schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off
Starting Rate: Starting at $23.00/hour, up to $28.00/hour based on experience
GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is a proudly Indigenous-owned staffing company dedicated to creating long-term sustainable employment opportunities for Indigenous people across Canada. We are seeking safety-oriented, reliable, and skilled Indigenous individuals to join our team as Yard Hands.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the yard.
- Perform general shop maintenance.
- Operate skid steers and loaders (training provided).
- Handle parts runs and assist in the shop as needed.
- Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support light-duty fleet maintenance.
- Assist the inventory management team with planning, preparation, receiving, and deployment of equipment.
Requirements
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of construction, industrial, or oilfield equipment.
- Experience with industrial tools (hand and power tools) is an asset.
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and a self-starter attitude.
- Must have access to a personal vehicle.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to work collaboratively or independently.
